Welcome to the SAIL Community Forums! I am thrilled to have you on this voyage of leadership growth and self-discovery.
First off, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Tara Furiani, the captain of this ship, so to speak. Over the course of my 13-year tenure as a Chief People Officer, combined with my unique life experiences and diverse professional certifications, I've learned a thing or two about the significance of leadership. That knowledge, my personal stories, and my commitment to foster more inclusive, empowering leadership have led to the creation of SAIL.
So, what is SAIL, you may ask? SAIL stands for Self-care, Authenticity, Influence, and Learning.
Each of these pillars represents a critical aspect of effective leadership, and we will navigate through all of them in our journey together. The aim of SAIL is to inspire and empower you, particularly if you're a woman, a mother, or a member of the LGBTQ community, to take charge and lead, in every sense of the word.
Now, let's talk about the SAIL Community Forums. These forums are a vibrant, digital space for you to engage in meaningful discussions, ask questions, share experiences, seek advice, and offer support to your fellow SAILors. Whether you want to share a win, pose a challenging question, or discuss a topic related to one of the SAIL pillars, this is the place to do it.
Participating in the forums will allow you to gain insights from a diverse range of perspectives, which is truly invaluable. However, as we dive into these conversations, I kindly ask you to respect each other's experiences and viewpoints, and uphold the spirit of constructive, positive engagement.
Remember, every voice matters, and every voice makes a difference. So, don't hesitate to share yours.
I'm thrilled to have you as part of our SAIL Community and I'm excited to learn from each and every one of you.
Let's set sail and chart our course to becoming the leaders we aspire to be!
Welcome Aboard,
Tara Furiani
