From CEO to K-Hole and Back: A Working Mom's Tale!

Here's a little riddle for you: What do you get when you combine a top-tier executive, a sudden divorce, an unexpected pandemic, and the loss of a corporate career? If you said an impressive cocktail of chaos, you've hit the nail on the head. And if you're still pondering, let me enlighten you: You get me.

I used to be the Chief People Officer, the bigwig HR maestro. At home, I was the ringleader of a circus lovingly comprised of five wild and wonderful offspring. Then life decided to mix things up, landing a one-two punch with the end of my marriage and an international health crisis that vaporized my role. Enter a new guest star: depression.

Now, let's get this straight. Depression is like that distant relative who shows up uninvited, messes up your home, eats all your food, and then decides to stay indefinitely. And it couldn't have picked a worse time, as I was navigating life as a single mom (sans relationship woes) and piecing together the shards of my professional existence.

In pursuit of reclaiming my mental wellbeing, I tested various treatments, even braved at-home Ketamine therapy with a company called Mindbloom during a rare week of parental reprieve by their father. But despite my best efforts, depression remained the unwanted lodger in my mind.

That’s when my therapist and I took a walk on the wild side and considered IV Ketamine therapy. That's right, IV Ketamine, once the star of veterinary practices and dance parties, now beckons as a beacon of hope for the depressed. If you ever needed proof that life is full of surprises, this is it.

IV Ketamine therapy operates differently than traditional antidepressants. It doesn't play with serotonin or norepinephrine; instead, it shakes hands with the glutamate system, which helps manage emotions, memories, and learning. It's a new, innovative way to tackle depression, like the avant-garde artist of the mental health world.

So, here I am, staring down the syringe, ready to take the plunge. A little nerve-wracking? You bet. Exhilarating? Absolutely. It's like being at the starting line of a race you never expected to run, but you're fueled by the possibility of what lies beyond the finish line.

But let's not sugarcoat things. IV Ketamine isn't a magic potion. It's a tool, a potentially powerful one, to be sure, in my toolbox for battling depression. Alongside my talk therapy and the self-care rituals that have become as integral to my routine as caffeine, this is a significant step forward. And whether it leads to a sunlit upland or just another scenic overlook on my journey, it's a step worth taking.

Depression might have crashed my party, but this is still my show. With a mixture of dry wit, steely determination, and a dash of 'what the hell, let's give it a shot,' I'm ready to dive headfirst into the world of Ketamine therapy.

So buckle up, folks. This journey promises to be as compelling as it is unpredictable. There's hope, a touch of anxiety, a healthy dose of curiosity, but most importantly, there's a determination to move forward. Whether it's a breakthrough, a stumble, or just a strangely amusing anecdote to share at future parties, I'll take it. The promise of clearer skies ahead is worth the ride.

Who knows where this journey will lead? It might be a smooth ride, a rollercoaster, or, given that we're talking about Ketamine, a surreal, psyche-transforming trip. But there's a fierce kind of joy in facing the unknown, especially when each step forward is a small act of defiance against the specter of depression.

Stay tuned for more updates from the front lines of my fight against depression. After all, they say the best stories come from the most unexpected journeys. And trust me, willingly diving into the K-Hole as a way to wrestle control back from depression is not the turn I expected my life to take.

To anyone else out there wrestling their own mental health monsters, remember this: you are not alone. The road is tough and the battle is real, but there are an array of weapons at your disposal. Maybe IV Ketamine therapy could be one for you too. My hope is that my experience might shine a little light on your own path or at least offer an intriguing, somewhat comedic distraction.

Here's to the journey ahead, to the promise of discovery, to the power of resilience, and to the chance that this K-Hole might just be the hidden passageway to a brighter, lighter future.

Until next time, as I chart my course from CEO to K-Hole and Back, remember this: life may be an unpredictable journey, but it's the thrilling twists and unexpected detours that make the ride worthwhile. And it’s these stories, my story, that could inspire us all to keep pushing forward, one step, or one infusion, at a time.

The trip is just beginning!
